The newly converted Martello Tower at Jaywick offers a hi-tech digital arts venue with floor to ceiling curved screen for absorbing 3D projection.
If a few hours shopping is your ideal way to relax then you will not be disappointed with the range of shops in the town centre, nearby Great Clacton also hosts a range of independent shops and Clacton Factory Shopping Village is a must, with shops offering discounts of up to 60% on high street prices. There's also Connaught Avenue in Frinton, known locally as the Bond Street of Essex with it's individual owned shops.
Clacton also boasts an array of events taking place throughout the year including a two day Air Show.
The seafront gardens are a much loved part of Clacton's seafront with their themed areas playing a big part in the town's success in last year's Anglia in Bloom bronze award for best Coastal resort.
Nearby Jaywick has some of the finest beaches on the Essex Sunshine Coast and offers the ideal spot for a seaside picnic day out.
